Description:

Our clients are looking for people with international childcare experience and who are interested to work towards becoming an early childcare assistant (ECA) in Canada. Newcomers to Canada are highly encouraged to apply.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES will include supporting lead teachers to:

• Actively engage in educational activities
• Assist in planning schedules and activities
• Use of appropriate systems to document all activities
• Comforting children and ensuring they feel included, loved, and appreciated
• Managing children’s personal belongings. Maintaining order and cleanliness in all areas of the classroom
• Maintain highest standard of sanitization (including body and furniture)
• Organization of classroom (toys, supplies, etc)
• Maintain behavior log and report all issue to appropriate supervisor
• Assist children during meal and snack time

The ideal candidate would:

• Experience working with children, with relevant Canadian certifications required.
  
• Be passionate about children and working in a classroom environment
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents
• Have the ability to utilize with appropriate software systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
• Demonstrate a supportive attitude, and ability to provide emotional, physical, or behavioral support to children

Other key requirements:

• Valid, up-to-date vulnerable sector check
• First Aid / CPR
• Experience working within a childcare center
